Nicanor Inc. is an all-volunteer nonprofit rooted in faith, dedicated to feeding families, stocking school pantries, and meeting urgent needs in our community.
How We Serve

Thursday Hot Meals
Every week, no exceptions.
Every Thursday our volunteers gather to prepare and serve a free hot meal to anyone in the community who needs one. No questions asked — just a warm plate and a welcoming table.
We believe food is love made visible. Our Thursday meal is open to all neighbors regardless of circumstance.
School Food Pantries
Stocking shelves at 9 elementary schools.
We partner with 9 local elementary schools to maintain on-site food pantries so that children and their families have access to nutritious food throughout the school year.
Hunger doesn't stop at the school door. Our pantries help ensure that no child goes home without food.
Urgent Projects
Meeting needs as they arise.
When a family faces an unexpected crisis — a utility shutoff, a missing meal, an emergency need — Nicanor Inc. steps in. Our volunteers respond quickly to help neighbors in their most vulnerable moments.
We stay ready to act because needs don't wait for a schedule.
Stocking Pantries at 9 Elementary Schools
Hunger doesn't stop at the school door. We partner with 9 local elementary schools to keep on-site food pantries stocked throughout the year, so children and their families always have access to nutritious food.
Our volunteers regularly restock each pantry, coordinate donations, and work alongside school staff to make sure no family slips through the cracks.
Rooted in Faith, Serving All
The name Nicanor comes from the early church — one of the first deacons chosen to serve the community. That spirit of humble, hands-on service is at the heart of everything we do. We serve our neighbors because Christ first served us.
